Dominion Energy Virginia
EV rebates and home charging cost. Most of central, northern and eastern Virginia.
Electricity: about $0.170/kWh. Checked 2026-10-04
Cheaper overnight charging: Off-Peak Plan
14.2¢/kWh, midnight to 5 a.m. every day (super off-peak). Checked 2026-10-04
Time-of-use rate for the whole home, not just the car. Needs a smart meter. Weekday on-peak prices are much higher (about 31¢ in summer, 27¢ in winter), so it pays off only if you can also shift other big uses like AC, laundry and the dishwasher. Can't be combined with Dominion's EV charging rewards programs.
